Oversea Safety Volunteer (OSV)

to Thailand Project

 

To take students and volunteers from all over the world to Thailand  To learn, to understand, to yield language, culture and safety knowledges to Young Firefighters and all Thai people.

 

“Oversea Safety Volunteer to Thailand Project”

It is a continuous project from Young Firefighters International Program which have taken Young Firefighters to learn about language, culture and safety abroad.  This activity was called “Safety Mission, Young Firefighters from Thailand”, organized by Fire And Rescue Association (FARA).

 

1st Trip: to Black Town, Sydney, NSW, Australia during April 1st - 25th, 2001.  21 members in the group.

2nd Trip: to Singapore for the Fire Safety & Rescue Asia 2001 exhibition during November 20th - 23rd, 2001.  4 members in the group..

3rd Trip: to Seoul, Korea, during April 18th - May 2nd, 2002.  13 members in the group.

4th Trip : to several cities of Korea during October 21st - 26th, 2003. 6 members in the group.

5th Trip: to Singapore during February 9th - 11th, 2004.  7 members in the group are students of Safety Science Program, Rajchapat Chantrakasem University

6th Trip: to Singapore during October 13th - 17th, 2004.  10 members will in the group, with coordination with Emergency First Aid and Rescue  (EFAR)

 

For continuous and last long benefit of vision opening of Thai youth to international level.  FARA have considered to invite international volunteers and students to stay in Thailand for culture exchanging and further cooperation on friendship creation through safety activity under the philosophy of “Moral leads Safety”, by:

 

¨      All volunteers, any gender, from any countries with good command in English either speak, read or write; to lodge, travel and join “Young Firefighters project” in Thailand for 30 - 90 days, without cost, as per following criterias:

A.       Male-female volunteers, 18 - 25 years of age

B.       Above High School education

C.       Officially recognized by a reliable organization

D.       Good English command in speaking, reading and writing

E.        Good level of knowledge-understanding, with good faith in saving human lives, Fire suppression, First-Aid and resuscitation

F.        Never break any Law or social-disliked

G.       Not taking cigarette or drug

H.       Not alcohol addicted

I.         Able to join activity with FARA in Thailand for 30 - 90 days.  Following are the conveniences we provide:

1.        Accommodation (two in a room,same gender), food, sightseeing, activity expenses, clothing, uniform and other basic necessity while they are in Thailand throughout the program like family stay.

2.        The volunteers are responsible on their own round trip air ticket, airport tax, VISA fee and other personal expenses. (Details can be inquired or agreed in advance)

3.        The volunteers will be awarded the FARA’s Honorary Member Certificate.

J.        The volunteers should submit their application form with following attachments:

1.   Three 2” photographs

2.        Three 5”x7” photos, different postures

3.        Biography, specialities

4.        Official documents, e.g. Passport or ID copies, etc.

5.        Evidence on education status

6.        Certification Letter of status and behavior from a reliable organization

7.        Submit with FARA application form via post as hereunder address.

K.       Proposed activities

1.        Join FARA experts to educate people in hospitals, schools, communities, disable group throughout  Thailand or even neighbouring countries about Fire suppression , rescue, First-Aid and CPR.

2.        Enjoyable sightseeing all over the country.

3.        Culture exchange closely with “Young Firefighters”

4.        Private time 8 days/month.

5.        Others, as festive suitability.

L.        The committee’s consideration is the finale.  The committee can immediately cancel the agreement should Thai law or good culture was infringed.

M.      Not exceeding two volunteers will be considered to stay together at a time.  They will learn about the resume of each other before taking decision.
