Feedback of participants for Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) 5 – 9 December 2005
Dr Atchariya Pangma
Dr Atchariya Pangma had shown great interest in learning pre-hospital management of casualties and also had contributed to the training. He had been seen teaching the rest of the ERTs during the training session and was seen to be a great Doctor who is humble to show others what he knows. Dr Atchariya Pangma was then selected by a group of APFA instructors to be the leader for the Mass Casualties during the Field Exercise. He demonstrated good leadership and co-ordinate well in the Mass Casualties. He applied the concept of “rapid evacuation of casualties to the hospital” learnt during the BTLS training, during the field exercise. He took less then 20 minutes to get three casualties out of the field with the necessary stabilization e.g ABC management, IV infusion, Defibrillating the casualty, Spinal management and many others. There is a consensus among all the APFA instructors on Dr Atchariya Pangma’s capabilities in handling Pre-hospital Care casualties.
